Over the years, cyber-attacks have multiplied in the pharmaceutical sector. Now it’s Montreal-based Pharmascience’s turn to be the target of such an act. While its drug production does not appear to have been disrupted, the event serves as a reminder of the fragility of the country’s drug supply chain. <\/p>\n

On Wednesday, La Presse <\/span>revealed that the largest Canadian-owned pharmaceutical company, Pharmascience, had been the target of a cyberattack in recent weeks. The company confirmed that it had discovered an intrusion into its computer system on June1 <\/span>, but refused to give details of the scale and duration of the attack. <\/p>\n
