One morning in early October, 18 years after the murder of her daughter Jennifer, Drew Crecente received a Google alert reporting a new profile of her online, complete with her full name and a photo from a yearbook.
A fake biography described her as a “journalist specializing in video games and an expert in technology, pop culture and journalism”.
Jennifer had been killed in 2006 by her ex-boyfriend during her last year of high school.
